Cape Naturaliste College

The site is in the historic Vasse Township on 8 Hectares of land and is surrounded by natural habitat. The College has an award winning design and the buildings form a boulevard complete with landscaped spaces for students to sit or mingle with friends.

The college facilities are set in attractive landscaped gardens that are complete with modern artwork which are recognised for their excellence by the students and the community. They generate a warm, welcoming and modern learning environment that is well suited to young adults and which foster and promote inclusive and flexible learning approaches.

Cape Naturaliste College is a highly impressive modern college where students have access to the very latest computer technology and flexible learning areas. It has optic fibre cabling and a wireless network throughout the College, providing high speed internet access for every student and teacher.

The College boasts a modern Performing Arts Centre, a state of the art Multi Media Centre, as well as vibrant Visual Arts and Painting Studios.

A modern Café provides a healthy selection of food and hot or cold beverages. It is equipped with furniture to complement its unique ambience.

Vasse Primary School

Vasse Primary School is highly valued by the local community as it has functioned as a vital and integral part of the community’s social life since the first years of settlement in the Vasse region. The Parents and Citizens Association of the school has played an important role in the social history of the district, and in maintaining the school’s operation.

The school is located on Kaloorup Road Vasse, right in the heart of Vasse Newtown and forms part of the community infrastructure. It is built around a Heritage Council listed jarrah weatherboard one room classroom built in 1894.

The school has a long tradition of involved parents making a difference and the famous annual Vasse Primary School Art Award to raise funds, create a fabulous event and to enhance the cultural life of the school is no exception.

The school has recently been awarded substantial funding in the Federal Governments Nation Building Economic Stimulus Plan for Primary Schools for the 21st Century Round Two successful schools.
